DCM Building Design’s Flagship Duplex Project on the waterfront of the Mooloolah River showcased what is possible in terms of premium duplex developments and set a benchmark for the area. This site had its challenges including the narrow frontage and pizza slice shape, but we were able to resolve a planning solution to maximise the waterfront offering and also create a signature façade design as a statement piece for the street and from the river.

With a focus on space and light to the interiors we were able to develop two very spacious residences. Utilising feature void spaces and double height living areas with high level glazing and skylights we were able to enhance the connection of the residences to the waterfront between both living levels.

With a passive design approach we were also able to enhance cross ventilation and introduce natural light to the core of the building by implementing a feature atrium garden / courtyard. What has resulted is a State and National Award Winning Design project which has also broken the sales record in Mooloolaba for Duplex Residences.
