Presenting Fusion a design project based in the beachside suburb of Warana on the Sunshine Coast. Our wonderful clients presented us with a very fun design challenge - to design a home that was a combination of contemporary coastal meets modern industrial - a “fusion” of contrasting design elements.

This fusion in a single-storey dwelling was a challenge we were able to overcome through the use of clean roof lines opening up to the north, and through specific material choices, which enabled us to make the built form connect with the desired style of design we were wanting to achieve for our clients.

We really focused on the northern and eastern aspect, and open plan living areas to both the interior and exterior, showcasing a different style of design which has ultimately surprised us all!

With a strong reference to the modern industrial style using raw materials such as concrete, colorbond and exposed blockwork, we were also able to introduce some softer beach home elements with feature ply ceilings and timber trims, as well as refinement through stone benchtops and flush finishes.

We absolutely love the space and resort style feel of the end product, but more so, we are just so happy to see the satisfaction of our clients - always the greatest reward!
